Description

Yes a M42 'again' - to quote John Favalessa's joking usage of the word... Truthfully, I was not going to image this, this year, because I have done it so many times before. But time was against me, the only truly clear night I had was when I was away during the Christmas period - typical! - and with the weather pressing in, I had a few hours. I opted therefore, for a bright object - bright and easy to capture, but not always so easy to process! This was 99 subs of Ha, and 63 subs of OIII, each at 30s exposure length. This equates to 1 hour and 21 minutes, and in spite of my previous comments, I am pleased with how this turned out... Sadly, I noticed that my camera the 294MM, used here, has gone wrong and is no longer cooling! Hopefully I will get it sorted quickly - there is always something. Happy new year all of you! Simon
